Myriam set up and ran the Slough International Film Festival, which is running for the second time, in 2015. As well as writing and directing a short film which was awarded the Pilot Grant of £5,000 from First Light through Resource, she has won awards, including Best Documentary at the BFI Future Film Festival and has been a Film Festival Juror at Doho Film Institute. In 2015 she graduated from is the Arts University Bournemouth.
ANDREW ST MAUR
A natural Producer, Andrew has been involved with Resource since 2011 and has helped raise funding for and pull together a number of short film projects. He was involved in projects including the Firstlight Film funded project Wasteland. He has recently graduated following studying Film at the University of Lancashire.
Over the last three years at Youth Film Club, Leigh has learned new skills, helped make several short films and made contacts with other young people to work on projects with them. Resource have helped her find opportunities to progress her intrest in a career in films through participating in workshops as well as helping her get into college. Leigh is an apprentice at Pinewood Studios.
Through Resource, Angus has been part of several productions that have gone on to win awards at the BFI and AIFF, as well as receive nominations throughout the UK, USA and even Croatia. Alongside this, he has worked at Shepperton Studios based company "Transmission TX" and as camera assistant at BBC Birmingham. He has recently graduated from Bournemouth University having studied TV Production.
Marvin has been involved with Resource since 2011 and received support and to get onto ‘The Network’. Since then he has worked with Edinburgh TV festival, the BBC, and BAFTA. He has been a regular volunteer Peer Mentor, helping support young people, as well as acting as camera assistant on film projects. As Trustee he brings a range of skills and knowledge to support other young people.
As Resource’s first Apprentice, Finnbarr shot and edited a wide range of films for local groups, charities and businesses as well as supporting the delivery of filmmaking workshops. However his passion had always been animation, so after taking a year out to complete his apprenticeship and further explore a career in film, Finnbarr started a three year animation course at Arts University Bournemouth in 2013.
As a current member of Resource Youth Film Club, Ryan actively participates and supports other young filmmakers as a volunteer Peer Mentor. As part of a team he recently co-wrote, shot, edited and starred in a short film which came second at the Berkshire Smokefree Awards 2014. Ryan continues to develop his showreel and supports Resource Productions on shoots when he can.
Harish began volunteering with the Resource Youth Steering group in 2011, since then he has worked on at least 4 films and has learnt a great deal about the roles of the crew and their function. Through volunteering with the charity, he hopes to enable other young people to try their hand at film making and experience what he was able to. He is currently studying at Goldsmiths College, University of London.
